Dininghood Community Guidelines: Culinary Experiences
These guidelines are designed to ensure a safe, high-quality, and reliable experience for all Hosts (Restaurants/Chefs/Event Organizers) and Guests on the Dininghood platform. By using Dininghood to host or attend an event, you agree to abide by these standards.
1. Transparency & Accuracy for Hosts
These rules ensure guests know exactly what they are booking.
- Accurate Menu & Description: The menu, seating type, and location provided in the event listing must be delivered as promised.
- Pricing Clarity: All mandatory fees (including taxes, service charges, or necessary corkage fees) must be clearly disclosed in the listing price or breakdown. Hidden costs are strictly prohibited.
- Dietary Accommodation: Hosts must clearly state their capacity to handle allergies and dietary restrictions (Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc.) in the event description. If an allergy cannot be safely accommodated (due to cross-contamination risk), the Host must state this clearly before booking.
- Honest Imagery: All photos used to advertise the experience (food, venue, setup) must be representative of the actual event. Misleading or heavily edited images are prohibited.
2. Safety, Cleanliness, & Legal Compliance
Safety is Dininghood’s highest priority. Violations of these standards may result in immediate and permanent removal from the platform.
- Food Safety: All food must be prepared and served in compliance with local, state, and federal food safety laws and health codes.
- Permitting and Licenses: Hosts are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required permits, licenses, and insurance necessary to legally host the event at the specified location (e.g., catering licenses, temporary event permits, and home kitchen permits where applicable).
- Venue Safety: The event space (whether commercial or private) must be clean, accessible, and free of hazards. Exits must be clearly marked, and all relevant fire codes must be observed.
- Alcohol Service: If alcohol is served, Hosts must strictly adhere to all local laws regarding licensing, age verification, and responsible service. Underage drinking is strictly prohibited.
3. Professionalism & Respectful Behavior
These rules govern the conduct of all participants before, during, and after the event.
- Punctuality & Communication: Hosts must communicate promptly and honor the time of the event. Events should start within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Guests who arrive excessively late may not be guaranteed their full meal.
- Cancellation Policy: Hosts must adhere strictly to Dininghood's cancellation policy. Cancellations outside of emergency situations should be avoided to maintain a high level of reliability for guests.
- Zero Tolerance for Harassment: Dininghood maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any discrimination, harassment, abusive language, or aggressive behavior based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Respect for Property: Guests must treat the Hosts' venue and equipment with care. Hosts must respect the privacy and space of all guests.
4. Review Integrity
- Be Honest and Constructive: Share your genuine experience with the product or service. Whether positive or negative, your review should aim to help others make informed decisions. Avoid exaggeration, false claims, or misleading information.
- Keep It Respectful and Relevant: Stick to the facts and avoid personal attacks, hate speech, harassment, or offensive language. Focus your review on the product or service itself—not on individuals or unrelated topics.
